And The Meme Goes On . . .

Yes, I AM procrastinating, thank you very much. I have about half an hour before an important meeting, and I need the stress relief, so stolen from courtesy of kellychambliss  and cranky__crocus  :

Last Alcoholic Drink: Bailey's in my hot chocolate 2 nights ago.
Last Car Ride: I drove to work this morning.
Last Kiss: Last night, just before I fell asleep.
Last Good Cry: I tear up a lot, but it's been awhile since I had a really good sob, so I'm not sure.
Last Library Book: One of the Redwall series for Miss M
Last Book Bought: For myself, for pleasure, How To Live Safely in a Science Fictional Universe by Charles Yu - bloody gorgeous it was, too.  The actual last book I bought was a birthday gift for one of MIss M's friends, The Manga Artist's Workbook by Christopher Hart.
Last Book Read: The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot, a sensitive biography of the woman whose cells (known as HeLa) have provided the foundation on which a lot of modern molecular biology and cell biology rests.
Last Movie Seen in Theatres: Tangled.  I don't get to see too many things rated above PG13 in the theatres these days.  ::g::
Last Movie Rented: Up in the Air.  It was very good, and had George Clooney in it.  Shirtless.  But it wasn't good just because of that.  Honest!
Last Swear Word Uttered:  'Hell and blast and damn!', as I tripped over boots on my way out the door this morning.
Last Beverage Drunk: The extremely strong Scottish Breakfast tea I am consuming now.
Last Food Consumed: Oatmeal with blueberries (Ye canna be a Scot if ye dinna et teh porridge).
Last Crush: Benedict Cumberbatch, if we're talking real people.  Yowza.  What that impish smile does to his face makes me giddy.
Last Phone Call: Last night to my girl to tell her I was going to be late coming home from work.
Last TV Show Watched: Does having Nova on in the background whilst chatting with lash_larue  about my latest insanity and belly rubbing my elder cat count?  If so, last night.  Oh, you mean I actually had to be watching it?  Um . . . .
Last Time Showered: This morning.
Last Shoes Worn:  To quote Kelly: 'These hideous black suede clodhoppers that are good in snow.'  We may have the same shoes.
Last Song Played: Wait a minute while I check my ipod - Come On Get Higher by Matt Nathanson.
Last Item Bought: The tea I'm drinking, bought a new box on my way in this morning.
Last Download: Software update for my MacBook Pro.
Last Annoyance: The above-mentioned boots (Miss M!!!!!)
Last Disappointment: The last *big* disappointment was the failure of my NSF grant renewal.
Last Soda Drank: Can't remember - as a rule I don't drink the stuff.
Last Thing Written: This meme, of course, but if we're talking anything substantial, it was the outline of how I'm going to fit a potential collaboration into my NIH grant proposal.
Last Key Used: The key to my office.
Last Words Spoken: 'Good Morning' to the guy who replaces the dead fluorescent bulbs in our building.
Last Sleep: Last night, and it wasn't long enough.
Last Ice Cream Eaten: Graeter's Black Raspberry Chip - the *ultimate* in ice creams (and every bite was duly savored :-D).
Last Chair Sat In: The chair at my desk, which I am occupying now.
Last Webpage Visited: The research institute's intranet page to order something for the lab.

And there you have it.  Ye gods, I'm boring.  Oh well.  Off to my meeting - wish me luck.  If I can pry some money out of the department, I might be able to keep doing science for a little while after all.

I don't like Nutella. ...I love Nutella! Soul sistaaah! (; *Giggles.*

I will have to give my college library a look. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll get a chance to read through it in a long while; I haven't been able to do much pleasure reading at all lately. It's sad! I can see how it would touch you to know anything about the source of your human bio material.

Teehee. I will try to get busy on that ice-cream plan...
